Bayless has done more than any other culinary star to introduce Americans to authentic Mexican cuisine and to change the image of Mexican food.

Many people know Rick Bayless as the winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. He beat out French and Italian chefs with his authentic Mexican cuisine. His highly rated on-going public television series, “Mexico—One Plate at a Time,” is in its seventh season and airs across the country.
Bayless is the author of several award-winning cookbooks including Mexican Kitchen: Capturing the Vibrant Flavors of a World-Class Cuisine and Mexico–One Plate at a Time. His newest book, Fiesta at Rick's: Fabulous Food for Great Times with Friends, will be released in July.
In 2007, Bayless was named Humanitarian of the Year by the International Association of Culinary Professionals for his Frontera Farmer Foundation, which helps small farmers make capital improvements to their operations.
